Henge Sofa FRAME

Technical design — Atelier Jouffre x RRP

The Henge collection began as a bespoke commission for a private client, a collaboration between Jouffre and interior designer RRP inspired by Neolithic forms. The collection has since grown into a series of collectible pieces available through the atelier.

My role was technical design: I redesigned the interior CNC frame of the Henge Sofa from the ground up to function as a standalone collectible piece, refining its proportions and adapting the structure to work with natural upholstery materials in place of conventional petrochemical foam.

Building an organic, voluminous form like the Henge Sofa around natural alternatives requires rethinking how the frame shapes and supports the upholstery — the complexity of the CNC frame reflects that challenge directly.
